INTERVIEW: Ages
We had the pleasure of getting to know Ages (with his nicely tamed hair intact) at the studio last week. Never short on ideas, we mixed a nice long walk around the block with crisp dollar bills, a crosby sweater, and our infamous mascot Theo. All in a long days work here at Nonstop Record.
NSR: Tell us a bit about yourself…
Ages: Michael Lundy, 22 years old. Orange County born and raised. It gets boring culturally at times, but I’m truly blessed to be living here. Umm.. I’m quite fond of Coogi sweaters and Vietnamese cuisine.
NSR: Are you working on putting out anything?
Ages: I have an EP or two chillin right now. Not really quite sure when I plan on putting those out.
NSR: What influences your style?
Ages: I grew up on hip-hop and r&b. Wu, Biggie, Tribe, Jodeci, etc. Kinda stopped listening to all that stuff for a minute though but definitely rekindled my flame for hip-hop when my cousin introduced me to Champion Sound by Jaylib when I was in middle-school. I’d say shoegaze/ambient/hip hop/folk all influence my style the most. Weird mixture I suppose, but eh.
NSR: Your most memorable show ever played?
Ages: Boiler Room LA 004! It was truly an honor. It was especially dope getting to play alongside so many homies.
NSR: Anything you want to plug in?….
Ages: Buy my album “Bryan” on Alpha Pup Records plzzz. That would be ill.
